Lisa Shirk

Lisa Shirk is an entrepreneur and creative based in Washington, DC. She explores the embodiment of the Divine in one’s lover, neighbor, and “the other” through painting, collage, and mixed media. Lisa’s artwork can be found in print publications such as Darling Magazine, Comment Magazine, Penguin Random House, and more, and has been showcased in several juried shows in the DC area, including exhibitions at Del Ray Artisans Gallery, Touchstone Gallery, and the Capitol Hill Arts League. In 2018, she was selected as the Artist-in-Residence for the Monastic Immersion Artist Experience, in which she lived and worked with the nuns of the Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, ID. Lisa serves on the board of the arts & faith collective, Vita Poetica, based in the Washington, DC, area, and lives on Capitol Hill.
